There are different levels that individuals are able to participate in based on their particular life situation at any given time. Some are called to the Missioners for a season, some for a lifetime. Some serve along side us, collaborating, while not feeling called to full participation.

It should be noted that one does not have to be a “member” to participate in most of the Missioners activities, such as the prayer groups, InterMission retreats, Short-term Missions, and other ministries in which an individual wishes to assist.

Covenant Members

Covenant members are those who feel called to commit to the Missioners of Christ for life. These individuals have served under the Covenant for at least one term as a Committed Member, are in good standing with both the Missioners and the Catholic Church, and have mutually discerned a permanent call to the Missioners.

Covenant Members agree and commit to the following:

Actively participate in the prayer life of the community to include regular personal prayer, semi-monthly prayer meetings and various liturgical celebrations.

Actively supporting an area of ministry within the community. 

Seeking and obtaining a spiritual director outside of the Community for ongoing personal growth in one’s relationship with Christ, meeting on a regular basis (recommended monthly)

Frequenting the Sacraments, maintaining good standing with the Catholic Church in one's local parish.

Actively praying for the Will of God be done in implementing the vision and mission of the Missioners of Christ.

Supporting The Missioners of Christ financially (40% of tithe, currently)

Committed Members

There are those who feel called to commit to the Missioners for a “Season” – a three year period where the individual functions as a full member of the Missioners, with full voting rights and ability to serve at all levels.

Committed Members agree and commit to the following:

Actively participate in the prayer life of the community to include regular personal prayer, semi-monthly prayer meetings and various liturgical celebrations.

Actively supporting an area of ministry within the community. 

Seeking and obtaining a spiritual director outside of the Community for ongoing personal growth in one’s relationship with Christ, meeting on a regular basis (recommended monthly)

Frequenting the Sacraments, maintaining good standing with the Catholic Church in one's local parish.

Actively praying for the Will of God be done in implementing the vision and mission of the Missioners of Christ.

Associates

There are those who feel committed to the Vision of the Missioners of Christ, who may serve alongside us and/or support us in prayer, but are not proximate to a group of Missioners to fully participate in the ministries and communal experiences.

Associate Members agree and commit to the following:

Actively participate in regular personal prayer, and if possible, regular participation in a local prayer meeting (Missioners or other Catholic group) and various liturgical celebrations.

Frequenting the Sacraments, maintaining good standing with the Catholic Church in one's local parish.

Actively praying for the Will of God be done in implementing the vision and mission of the Missioners of Christ.

Supporting The Missioners of Christ financially, if possible, to the degree the member is able

Discerners

An initial phase that all Missioners must go through. This is a mutual journey that a prospective Missioner goes through with the Missioners of Christ community/apostolate, discerning whether or not they are called to a deeper commitment to the Missioners.

Discerners agree and commit to the following:

Fully participate in all aspects of the discernment process with the Missioners, mutually seeking God's calling in one's life

Actively participate in regular personal prayer, and if possible, regular participation in a local prayer meeting (Missioners or other Catholic group) and various liturgical celebrations.

Frequenting the Sacraments, maintaining good standing with the Catholic Church in one's local parish.

Actively praying for the Will of God be done in implementing the vision and mission of the Missioners of Christ.

Supporting The Missioners of Christ financially, if possible, to the degree the member is able.
