Missioners of Christ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation formed under the auspices of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Missioners is a Catholic Christian lay apostolate, which has established itself in submission to the Catholic Diocese of Richmond.

The Missioners have also received canonical status is the Diocese of Comayagua, Honduras, as a Private Christian Association of the Faithful.

The Missioners are currently in the process of obtaining canonical status in the Diocese of Richmond as a Public Christian Association of the Faithful.
