Missioners of Christ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation formed under the auspices of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Missioners is a Catholic Christian lay apostolate, which has established itself in submission to the Catholic Diocese of Richmond.

The Missioners have also received canonical status is the Diocese of Comayagua, Honduras, as a Private Christian Association of the Faithful.

Currently, the Missioners of Christ is engaged in the process of seeking formal recognition within the Diocese of Richmond. The Missioners currently have permission to function in its normal activities within the Diocese, but are not formally endorsed at this time.
