Philosophy
It
is said that in putting on a production, 80% of the
director’s job is complete with the casting. In order to
effectively function under the principle of “Gift-Led
Autonomy”, it is crucial that we are sensitive to both
the obvious and not-so-obvious giftings of our Members.
As in the “body” analogy provided by St. Paul, we desire
to pull together a diversity of talents and skills to
function at our optimum, working in concert as a
symphony in providing a great opus for God.
Term of Service
Members
can remain in selected positions indefinitely, if they
continue to be discerned for those positions. There is
no set “end time” for service, though once discerned and
accepted, a minimum of one-year service is expected in
that particular role/responsibility.
Collegial Discernment
The process
for Discerning placement of Members in different roles
and responsibilities is both mutual and collegial.
Personal
Identification:
At the annual election meeting,
all Covenant/Committed Members will be given a
form with roles on it. On this form they can
identify and rank five different roles which they
feel they could best serve the Missioners in,
after prayerful consideration.

Collegial
Nomination:
Often, others see gifts in us which
we do not recognize ourselves. At the annual
election meeting, Covenant/Committed Members can
prayerfully recommend other Members for specific
roles and responsibilities.
